Skillzone standards

This week we got our team together for a collaborative session to really look at ourselves, what we do well, where we can improve and ultimately what we want the SkillZone standard to be.
Do we get it right 100% of the time? Absolutely not.
Are we working to be better every day? 100%.
I actually went back and forth on whether we should share our standards publicly, but I think there’s real value in putting out there what we expect from ourselves.
For me, our standards are there to protect our people, keep us accountable and make sure we continue to grow the right way.
We want SkillZone to grow and impact more people, but we never want growth to come at the expense of our standard.
If we grow faster than our ability to maintain the quality of what we do, then that growth becomes irresponsible and unsustainable.
So as we grow, the challenge for us is pretty simple.
Don’t lower the standard to accommodate growth.
Develop our people so they can meet the standard.
Keep learning, keep improving and keep holding each other accountable.
That’s how we want to grow SkillZone.
